Out of School Time Program Instructor
Job Duties include teach daily enrichment classes, help with homework, and supervise children at play. Program duties include supervising children at play and on field trips, teaching enrichment and arts & crafts classes. Minimum high school/GED. DCF staff training to be completed within first 90 days unless already completed. Level II background screening clearance required prior to employment. CDL a +.
Requirements include:
- High School Diploma
- 1 years’ experience in School Age Childcare (preferred)
- DCF- 45-hour mandatory trainings completed (preferred)
- Demonstrated communication and writing skills
- Experience working with at-risk youth who are culturally diverse
- Demonstrated solid problem-solving skills, good judgment, and ability to handle multiple tasks
- Self-motivated, well organized, approachable, and professional
Competitive pay, commensurate with experience.
Part-Time- Split schedule based on County School schedule

Alternative Education
Middle School Language Arts/Health Teacher
6th-8th Grade Language Arts/Health Teacher for small innovative school choice program at a successful, well established non-profit organization.
Class size ratio approximately 1:15.
Must possess a Florida teaching certification or ability to obtain certification within one year. Qualifications require Middle Grades Language Arts (grades 5-9)
Candidate must pass an extensive background check.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Possess an undergraduate major, minor or graduate degree in the subject(s) and grades(s) to be taught.
- Possess middle grades teaching certification or Status of Eligibility.
- Proven commitment to the student’s academic achievement with high standards and innovative educational approach.
- Seek opportunities to model and advance positive behavior, values and character among students, parents and teachers.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Appreciate the importance of parents and guardians in the success of the students.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, volunteers, teachers, administrators, and leadership.

workshop instructor, or field trip facilitator.

clerical duties, special event preparation and clean-up.
